Product Details
This small square patch is made from denim and comes with hot-melt adhesive for heat application. Each pack contains one piece. Its versatile size makes it useful for adding a decorative accent or helping cover a selected area on a garment. Check that the fabric can tolerate ironing before applying, and follow the garment’s care instructions.
How to Apply
First, place the patch where you want it, with the adhesive side against the fabric. Do not peel or remove the adhesive. Preheat your iron, then press from the front of the patch for 10–20 seconds to hold it in place. If needed, temporarily secure the patch with needle and thread to help prevent shifting.
Next, turn the garment or textile inside out and iron the area from the reverse side for 30–60 seconds. Turn it back over and press from the front for 1–2 minutes, paying particular attention to the edges and corners. Allow the patch and fabric to cool before handling. Ironing times can vary with the iron and fabric, so use a suitable setting and take care not to scorch the material.
For Embellished Patches
If a patch has sequins, beads, rhinestones, silk flowers, pom-poms, or metallic-thread embroidery, iron from the reverse side first to help protect the decorations. Once the patch is firmly attached, carefully press or finish the front edges as needed without applying direct heat to delicate embellishments.
Care and Helpful Tips
Keep the patch and garment dry while ironing; do not spray water onto either surface. For the best hold, make sure the fabric is clean and dry, position the patch carefully before applying heat, and press the full area evenly. If the patch loosens after application or washing, the iron may not have been hot enough for the fabric and adhesive, or the area may not have been pressed long enough. Reapply heat cautiously, following the fabric’s care guidance.
